2026 is shaping up to be a strong year for rock, country, and everything in between. From long-awaited solo debuts to highly anticipated follow-up albums, a wave of heavy hitters are gearing up to release new music — and many have already dropped singles to whet the appetite.

The Most Anticipated Albums of 2026 (So Far)

Here’s what’s already on the calendar:

Linda Perry’s Long Awaited Solo Effort

Linda Perry, lead singer of 4 Non Blondes, has announced her first solo album after nearly 27 years, scheduled for release on May 8th on Kill Rock Stars/670 Records.  The first single will sound familiar.  It’s the song “Beautiful” that was a huge hit for Christina Aguilera in 2002, and was written by Linda Perry.

Aguilera’s version is beautiful, but Perry wrote it. That comes through. She delivers it with a weight and intimacy no cover artist could replicate.

“Let it Die Here” can be preordered here.  Rumor has it a new 4 Non Blondes album is also in the works for this year.  Sonic Pulse Reviews will have details as soon as they’re announced.

The Warning Are Entering Their Next Era

The highly anticipated fifth studio album (TW5 in fan-speak) from The Warning is set for release in 2026 on Republic Records.  The band has confirmed it’s completed but has not yet released a title or drop date.

The first single from “TW5” is “Kerosene” and has already generated serious momentum.  As of the week of March 28, 2026, it hit #31 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, up from #40 the previous week.

Hard guitar riffs, deep distorted bass, catchy lyrics, and a music video packed with rock energy (complete with flamethrowers): “Kerosene” was built to be a hit.

The “Kerosene” 7″ vinyl is available for purchase on The Warning’s website.

The Warning has also played a second song from the new album at their recent Lollapalooza shows, called “Ritual.”  No studio version yet as of this writing.  If “Kerosene” and “Ritual” are any indication, this may be their hardest album yet.

The Pretty Reckless Come Out Hitting

“Dear God” is the new album from The Pretty Reckless, expected the week of June 26 from Fearless Records.  You can order from theprettyreckless.com, but be aware that as of this writing most (not all) of the variants are already sold out.

“When I Wake Up” has been released as a single, and The Pretty Reckless hold nothing back. It earned an “Age-restricted video” notice on YouTube, so keep that in mind before you click (and why you don’t see a preview here).

Controversial video aside, the music delivers exactly what fans expect from The Pretty Reckless. Taylor Momsen’s powerhouse vocals riding powerful guitar riffs. With The Pretty Reckless, “power” is never overused.

Dea Matrona Adds Polish to Follow-up Their Debut

The Irish duo Dea Matrona are releasing their follow-up album to “For Your Sins” on June 5th.  This self-released sophomore effort is titled “Hate That I Care” and the title track along with “Magic Spell” have been released as singles.

Only two songs are out so far, but from that limited sample “Hate That I Care” may lean a little more rock than their debut.  The title song is the heavier of the two and unmistakably rock.  If you love quality guitar riffs and a nice guitar solo, this is for you.

“Hate That I Care” is available for pre-order on their website.

Ella Langley Builds on the Success of “Hungover”

On the country side of things, Ella Langley’s sophomore studio album “Dandelion” on Columbia Records will be out on April 10th.  Langley’s first album, “Hungover,” made it to #5  on Billboard’s US Top Country Albums chart.  Langley has already released three singles from Dandelion: “Choosin’ Texas”, “Be Her” and the title track “Dandelion.”

“Choosin’ Texas” made a major impact across multiple Billboard charts, spending four weeks at #1.

“Dandelion” is available for pre-order on ellalangley.com.

The Albums We Expect (But Don’t Have Dates Yet)

None of the following have confirmed release dates yet, but the chatter is loud enough to warrant attention.  Consider this your early warning system — Sonic Pulse Reviews will have updates as official announcements roll in.

  • Green Day: Deluxe/expanded Saviors content rumored for 2026 touring cycle
  • Foo Fighters: Studio activity hinted at; 2026 possible window
  • Halestorm: Working on follow-up; 2026 release likely
  • Bush: Rossdale confirmed writing sessions
  • Shinedown: Album cycle expected 2026
  • Mammoth WVH: Wolfgang has indicated ongoing recording
  • Garbage: Butch Vig has mentioned new sessions underway
  • Paramore: Post-Atlantic independent era project expected

2026 is shaping up to be a great year for music lovers.  Younger acts are solidifying longevity and mid-career bands are redefining themselves.  And the momentum of women fronting major releases continue that trend.

Sonic Pulse Reviews will be tracking it all.
